FERRIS CLEMENTS

Ferris Clements joined Armbrust & Brown in 2017 and practices with the firm’s Real Estate group, where he focuses on commercial real estate transactions, land use, real estate development, and business law. His practice includes representing clients before city and county governmental entities in connection with land use matters.

A native Austinite, Ferris earned his J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law in 2017 and his B.S. from The University of Texas at Austin 2014. During law school, he served as a judicial intern for The Honorable Lee Yeakel of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas and The Honorable Jeff Rose of the Texas Third Court of Appeals.

Ferris represents real estate developers, investors, individuals, and business entities in negotiating and drafting purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, loan documents, brokerage agreements, management agreements, and other agreements related to the acquisition, ownership, leasing, financing, and disposition of commercial real estate projects. He also represents oilfield services companies in the negotiation and drafting of Master Service Agreements for operations throughout the United States.

Representative Experience

  • Rezoned 5.5 acres on South Congress Avenue from industrial (LI) to commercial vertical mixed-use (CS-MU-V) zoning, enabling a mixed-use development.
  • Representation of the owner of Wildhorse Ranch, a master-planned community encompassing over 1,450 acres in Northeast Austin, Texas, involving the disposition and development of residential, commercial, multifamily, and mixed-use tracts across multiple phases.
  • Representation of a real estate development company in the acquisition of 1,500 acres for a large-scale mixed-use project, including residential, commercial, and golf course uses in Travis County, Texas.
  • Representation of real estate developers and investors in the negotiation and closing of acquisition and construction loan agreements with regional and national lenders.
  • Representation of a real estate investment and development company in the acquisition, leasing, and management of three adjacent office buildings in Austin, Texas.
  • Representation of a real estate investment company in the acquisition, leasing, and management of a 100,166-square-foot Class A office building in downtown Austin.
  • Successfully represented an applicant in obtaining rezoning of a commercially developed property from office to commercial use to support expanded retail and service opportunities.
  • Secured a rezoning for a national dry cleaning company on Burnet Road.
  • Representation of a real estate investment and development firm in the acquisition, leasing, and management of a 5.5-acre mixed-use project in Austin.
  • Representation of a real estate investment company in the leasing and management of 67,400 square feet of creative office and retail space in Austin.
  • Representation of a real estate investment company in the acquisition, leasing, and management of a 19,551-square-foot Class B office building in Austin.
  • Representation of oilfield services companies in the negotiation and drafting of Master Service Agreements for operations throughout the United States.
